    Family & Community Engagement

SCORE helps schools strengthen communication, trust, and partnership with the families and communities they serve. We work with school teams to examine barriers to participation, improve outreach, recognize families as educational partners, and create more culturally responsive opportunities for engagement.

Support may include family-engagement planning, community listening sessions, parent workshops, communication reviews, and consultation on structures that give families a meaningful voice in school decisions.

    Equity Reviews and Action Planning

SCORE works with schools and organizations to examine selected policies, practices, outcomes, and stakeholder experiences through an equity lens. Depending on the scope of the engagement, this may include document review, staff or family feedback, data analysis, facilitated discussion, and consultation with leadership teams.

We then help the organization identify priorities, establish practical goals, and develop an action plan with measurable next steps.

    SCORE Equity & Engagement Award

The SCORE Equity & Engagement Award recognizes students whose resilience, participation, growth, and potential may not be fully reflected in their academic record.

Some students continue to attend school, contribute, work, care for family members, participate in activities, and move forward while facing housing instability, financial hardship, academic difficulty, family responsibilities, or other challenges that may be invisible to others.

The award honors young people who continue to show up and remain engaged despite those barriers. Financial support may be used for educational expenses, transportation, supplies, training, technology, or other needs that help recipients stay connected to opportunity.

We are not rewarding failure. We are investing in potential, persistence, and future greatness.

Never give up on young people—you never know who they will become.

    What Our Recipients Say

“Before the incentive grant, I was close to giving up. The extra help allowed me to focus on my classes instead of worrying about bills. It gave me the motivation and support to keep going — and I’m proud to say I’m still on track to graduate.”Jasmine P., Incentive Grant Recipient
